As predicted by someone on the Forum this week (sorry, I can't remember who it was), Mr. Dines issued an Interim Warning Bulletin late last night, telling us to buy.  Here's the first sentence:

Quote
This is our fourth Short-Term "Buy" signal of this year, the first two having been flashed within a few days of rock bottom and a rally.

Priceless!  Every single stock is down, and yet he takes credit for calling the rallys!  And yet he never says to sell, so his subscribers hold all the way down. My subscription is set to expire; I'm sure going to miss his words of self-congratulatory wisdom.

(Of course, it's not hard to predict that even in a bear market there will be upward spikes).

It took you long enough.    Wink
The rest of us knew you come along and break the chain sooner or later.

Me, I can't even afford stock market newsletter subscriptions anymore.
Maybe that's a good thing!

Just out of intrest, is his 'buy rec' across the board or specific to his pm recs. We all agree that there is a rally out there somewhere but Dines 'buys' have been classic 'catch a falling knife' calls. Does he justify his stand in any way.

Half of his stocks are rated a "Buy", and the other half are a "Hold", and there is no rhyme or reason to it; he has buys and holds on uraniums, golds, everything.

As for the picture, it's Col. John "Hannibal" Smith (played by George Peppard) from the A-Team (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_A-Team); in other words, the picture has no significance whatsover.  I encourage everyone to post a similarly irrelevant picture for our amusement.

I got my picture, JDH.  But mine is somewhat relevant.

It's Jon Bon Jovi.  He is the author of one of my favorite songs...  Since I am a piano player!

Bed Of Roses.

Quote
Sitting here wasted and wounded at this old piano
Trying hard to capture the moment this morning I don't know
'Cause a bottle of vodka still lodged in my head
And some blond gave me nightmares
I think she's still in my bed
As I dream about movies
They won't make of me when I'm dead
With an ironclad fist I wake up and French kiss the morning
While some marching band keeps its own beat in my head
While we're talking
About all of the things that I long to believe
About love and the truth and what you mean to me
And the truth is baby you're all that I need

[Chorus] :
I want to lay you in a bed of roses
For tonight I sleep on a bed on nails
I want to be just as close as the Holy Ghost is
And lay you down on bed of roses
Well I'm so far away

That each step that I take is on my way home
A king's ransom in dimes I'd give each night
Just to see through this pay phone
Still I run out of time or it's hard to get through
Till the bird on the wire flies me back to you
I'll just close my eyes and whisper,
Baby blind love is true

[Chorus]

This hotel bar hangover whiskey's gone dry
The barkeeper's wig's crooked
And she's giving me the eye
I might have said yeah
But I laughed so hard I think I died
When you close your eyes
Know I'll be thinking about you
While my mistress she calls me
To stand in her spotlight again
Tonight I won't be alone
But you know that don't mean I'm not lonely
I've got nothing to prove
For it's you that I'd die to defend

Basically, I'm for anything that gets you through the night - be it prayer, tranquilizers or a bottle of Jack Daniels - Frank Sinatra

Yellowcake's REAL favourite song, that is even more relevant, is...
 "Livin' on a Prayer"
 Grin....d
