My guess is by Labor Day, if not before.  But I will call it Friday before Labor Day!  Oooooops! I meant Friday before Memorial Day.

My rationale is that somewhere in-between there will be a correction like end of this month when the shorts try to cover or something.  Then it is off to the races again.

Actually $50 is only a 25% move from $40.

We got over 80 percent premium. That's right. Over $50 per contract on the condition that our group sell all our contracts. Our counterparty even threatened us with the ghost of Herstatt. They openly admitted that they could not deliver even 20 million ounces to us but that if we stood for delivery they would be sure that they make delivery to everyone else before they defaulted on us which would make us 'unsecured creditors'. They told us directly that they could not allow even 5000 contracts to stand for delivery because they could not deliver a mere 20 million ounces. Like Vito Corleone said, "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse." And indeed we did not refuse as this was our intention all along.

Back to reality for the rest of us.
I can't remember exactly... But when someone was asked to put a date on a commodity forecast of his, he replied that the odds of predicting the event and the exact date where less than 3%.

I slept on it and as often happens I awoke with an answer......
My (less than 3% accurate) prediction is 23rd May 2011.

I checked the calender and it's a Monday. Things often happen over the weekend so I'm very happy with that.

Silver is actually about $150 plus now based on the Hunt brother's record high and adding in inflation since then late 70s-early 80s...

However, when you take into account M2, M3 then silver may be in the neighborhood of 1000s.

 

It IS going to find it's real price.
