I've just been watching a program on TV about Graphene (an allotrope of carbon, whose structure is one-atom-thick).

The 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics goes to Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov, now both at the University of Manchester, for studying single atom-thick sheets of carbon, called graphene.

A breaking strength of 200 times greater than steel

Graphene sheets conduct electricity as well as copper, conduct heat better than any other known material.

Little wonder that........

Mickey Fulp's latest “Mercenary Musing.” is for carbon and he's investing his own money in a carbon start up company.

In the good tradition of Jim Dines I hereby declare myself “The Original Graphene/Carbon Bug.”   Grin

One of my holdings.
This is by no means a recommendation because quite frankly it's been a disappointment, but hopefully that will change (might be worth watching).....

Canaf feels that this is a good base for Quantum to expand and potentially become one of the major carbon providers on the continent and eventually world-wide.
