Decided to start this thread in case anyone else runs across stuff from time to time on possible "green" energy investments.

The are touting being able to get this up and running from Lake Erie by sometime 2012.

I don't give a hoot about wind power in this windmill form because I think that it is a blight on the scenic landscapes of the USA...

However, there may be green in them thar winds...

Good to keep up with these things anyway!

Wildpoldsried produces 321 percent more energy than it needs and is generating $5.7 million in annual revenue — a remarkable accomplishment for a modest farming community that has been able to invest in new municipal infrastructure without going into debt.

You've got to hand it them for their innovation and grasp on reality..

This is a remarkable accomplishment for a modest farming community that turned a village with no industry into an industry of renewable energy with the help of local entrepreneurs and pioneers. Small businesses have sprung up to sell and install technologies and provide services to the renewable energy installations

Which was part of my point....

Small businesses (a group who would stimulate the economy more than any other given an even playing field)?
Potential entrepreneurs and innovators?
