I saw this company come up in headlines the other day and was wondering... how curious...

http://finance.google.com/finance?q=CVE%3AMSR

See Management, lower right corner.  Guess who?  Shocker.

Used to be air quality technology.  Now silver.  No business operations. That's encouraging.  Sounds like a buy to me!  Sigh...

Yup, and I like his new disclaimer.  Mr. Dines has been busy reading his email, and decided to place a new disclaimer to his recommendation. Company names have been x'd, y'd and z'd (to protect the innocent)

Mega x Buy under Cdn $1.50. (Mega x is replacing
y in Supervised List #z. For full disclosure we own it, because we believe
in silver’s future and, while we now plan to hold it for a long time, we reserve the right
to sell anytime. If that is a problem to you, please don’t buy it. y will
probably work out at higher silver prices, and you might choose to hold it, but each of
our Supervised Lists are strictly limited to no more than 10 recommendations. So we
had to choose. You may do as you wish, but we recommend that you not pay more
than $1.50 for Mega x, hopefully due to a dip after the initial buying calms down.
Or, buy half your intended position at the market now, and try to buy the rest lower.

Jimmy and Sheldon again in yet another stock promotion, is a pattern starting to form here ? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, stinky says I, very very stinky !!!

In other words this is ( read company info) a shell company revival whose only current business plan is to raise money for the company by selling shares to the unwashed. Sorry but in fact we used to refer to the sheeple as " the weak, the meek and the all fu@#ked up).
How is Mega Silver a silver company when it owns no silver or mines with silver production, you ask? They have good intentions to do so , thats how!!! This is a page taken from the bad old days of the Vancouver Stock Exchange where it was proven that Yes Mr , Barnum there is a sucker born every minute. We created Giant Rabbits and Giant Pearls and  papered over so much moosepasture in places that most people couldn't spell let alone find on a map that it's no surprise that the Exchange was put out of busisness after years of legalized fraud. Thank you Mr D for reminding me of the hey days of my youth.

The frauds that were run out of the old VSE are now legendary. After work we'd all go to bar called The Marble Arch and drink ourselves silly with the strippers in tow, all in a days work in the buisness of setting up shells and then box tradeing stocks to the gullible. Thank you guys for reporting Jimmy D's newest joke, I needed a good belly laugh today.

Jimmy and Sheldon sitting in a tree , fleecing the sheeple one two three. Didn't Dines say one time that he owned the rights to the name Mega? And he's daring you not to buy it in his disclaimer. Talk about reverse psychology. " Go ahead , I double dare ya?" Sucker.

Oh my God. If you are right, and I suspect you are, that would be the final nail in the coffin for me....

Hey, the guy has some scruples.  At least he put it in his highest risk list and not in #1 or #2 as he did with the Canadian Beverage company he was involved with(which lost 50+% before he dropped it).

I new that Dines would recommend this one as soon as I saw it in Pinetree's PR.  It had dines's name all over it...I didn't buy it cause it moved from a $1 to $1.50 so fast the other day...anyways Dines is going to be selling it on Monday...

Dines is going to be on World Outlook Conference tomorrow (via phone):

Are any of you guys (Vancouver people)going to the conference?

Sounds like smoke and mirrors but maybe I just don't understand this.

It is a silver company, they filed documents on Sedar, looks like they have some rights to explore some land some where I think it was Mexico. No resources or anything , just a hope and a prayer I think. Looks like monday may be a day for sheldon et al to unload some shares since with virtually no volume so far and 2 days of trading, they still own most of the company so anyone selling would most likely be them.  Pretty blatant if you ask me, I was expecting them to at least wait a few weeks or months before they pump this but perhaps they need the cash for whatever reasons.  Expect steady selling on monday and early next week, perhaps at a constant level 1.50 -1.60 after the initial euphoria, they wont want to kill the bank machine too early.

I think Depleted said he was going - if you are Depleted, we would all love to hear what insight you received from the tele interview and others at the show.

Have a great weekend!

well, I had pretty much decided to dump Dines.  This just sealed the deal as far as I am concerned. The only good thing is Pinetree has over 1Mil shares and warrants since yesterday and I'm in the hole there about 15%.  Soon as I can get rid of that I will feel better.  I think the guy has lost his mind personally. I could never trust this piker ever again.

I have expressed  my views on newsletters (particularly ones that recommend micro caps) too many times in the past to reiterate them again.
Now correct me if I am wrong but as if I understand the situation correctly then why on earth does anyone waste their money subscribing to Dines when they could just go out and use that money to buy Pinetree (PNP)Huh?

I think it is time to dump Pinetree and Mega Uranium.  These two have been touted by Dines too many times, and now this revelation with Dines involved with Sheldon and other "Mega" ventures is the last straw for me.  Just makes me sick to my stomach, all the money I dropped into those two companies.  What a freaking scam.

At first I was tempted to do just that, (as I'm sure we all were), but after thinking about it, I'm going to hold. I only own PNP. It wasn't a Dines creation - he just found it. But underneath the hood PNP is still a pretty good play. Yeah, it's been hammered. And there's too much stock outstanding. But where else can you find all these junior Canadian natural resources in one stock? I am a little leery of this Sheldon character, and what has transpired between the two is extremely disheartening. I'm just glad the truth is getting out early before one of us gets hurt even more. I do recall an insider trading lawsuit regarding PNP last year. Did that ever get resolved?

JDH is right on the money. Newsletters are only part of the picture. This is a good group. Together, we saved some $ by working together. Now let's see what else we can do. And thanks to all you guys who venture forth those small stocks to chew on (doc, punter, sunseeker, richman, david, etc). You know who you are.

I heard Dines on the radio this morning. He says he called the bottom on Uranium on the 23rd of January. Good luck with that. Nothing since then indicates a turnaround at least technically. I'm not a downwer on Uranium, I just think the build out is more toward 2020 and accumulation now should only be on M&A spec. Jims call to buy on Friday is just plain stupid IMO. Well, that is unless you have something to sell or cash to raise wink wink.

I'm remembering the story about the boy who cried wolf. Listening to Dines is interesting on one side of the brain but then the other side reminds you of how full of crap he's been more often than not and how much money his wrongheaded calls have cost the unwary. He hasn't made a 'right' call for two years now. I'm going to go out on a limb and say for the record " Dines is Dead"

The person who reasoned that the selling on Jim and Sheldons promotion will  come from the  source is right on the money IMHO. Gold star for you.

I personally don't believe for one second Jim's recomendations on his buy hold timing.  I would bet hes buying and has been buying at these lower levels, and will flash a buy signal after a nice little run up, creating the next sell opportunity for serious market students! Shocked

As far as dumping Mega and Pinetree goes, I dont think so.  Mega has some pretty good holdings.  I especially like their position geographically for shipments down the road from Austrailia to China.  Plus some pretty good insider buying recently from Sheldon, into Mega gives some credence.

Pinetree offers diversification in the micro cap sector.   I do need to make sure that all those little ventures aren't full of Mega-Silver like companies though.  Undecided
