I was watching BNN market call today (Monday) - with Leeward H. F.

He says Uranium is out for 2008...will come back in 2009-2010

Right now for 2008 he says alternative energy especially solar. The Timminco plays etc.

Any opinions. I've sold all my uraniums at extreme losses. Ready to put that money in somewhere else (new sector)...uranium is dead.

Hey kid,
check out this website.
It has been my greatest resource in finding Alternative Energy Stocks.

Well, over the course of the past week, you couldn't be more correct.
The alternative energy plays I follow have gone gangbusters (breakouts).
How about a double out of P.to who manufactures efficient trains;
or STG.v who manufactures solar power inverters that convert DC to AC optimally;
ever hear of TMG.v? they took their products to the most polluted country in the world (china).

Perhaps that guy was right, alternative energy is the way to go.
Isn't that what we have been in anyways for the past 3 years?
Two of the biggest bull markets of recent have been Uranium,
and Ethanol (which has triggered the agriculture boom).

Perhaps we are just in a broader boom to find non-fossil fuel efficient energy.
What I have noticed over the past 3 trading sessions is clean technology skyrocket.
Maybe the buyers are long-term believers who want positions before the end of the year?

In any case, I love each of the 3 companies I listed, they will all be profitable soon,
and are making a case at helping the earth, through cost effective measures.
I unfortunately missed the rallies, waiting for better prices...
Oh well, I suppose that's how breakouts go...
And why you all are holding (and hoping) for the Uranium pot to heat up again.

C'mon guys, I've said in a couple of posts alternative energy is a decent bet. PBW & GEX are good ETF's. I'm not selling my uranium. I'm keeping PNP & FRG. There's no telling when it will come back around. But my guess is China's hunger to clean up their atmosphere is going to help all these sectors. Just a hunch...Hey Doc are you still liking Ford?

...and I did want to thank everybody, including JDH for all the contributions this year. It's one of my favorite websites.This and the Antique Outboard Forum.

I love Ford.
It has been a concentration of mine,
and I have been swinging it 10 pennies at a time.
As I've said, it is one of the most manipulated stocks on the market.
