Happy New Year everyone!

Maybe this should be titled Stock Market 2011.  Anyhow these are not my predictions, but the predictions of ASPO-USA (Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas):

My earlier predictions (2009) of imminent Armageddon and near end of the world proved premature. It never happened quite as fast as I predicted.  But it is still happening, only in slow motion.  So I dare not make any more predictions.  I’ve lost my nerve.  I only wish I knew when gold and silver bubble is going to top.

Below, the ASPO-USA, (Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas) are making their predictions for the year 2011, for what they are worth.  Myself, I'm not into energy (yet):

More forecasts for 2011.  Rather a long one, if you have the patience!

I've Just about recovered from one of the worst Christmas's ever. The outside water pipes froze on Christmas Day and I ended taking everything to my mums and making Christmas Dinner for five.
We filled a few containers with water and went back home. I wouldn't normally agree with shopping on an official holiday but it enabled us to get a car load of 5ltr water, so I could keep the tanks topped up. It's was a bind crawling around in the loft space but needs must. When the pipes thawed the sudden surge wrenched the joint apart at the stop valve on the wrong side.

We had a water feature in our kitchen, and we couldn't get a plumber until 7AM in the morning. I spent all night like the legend of the Little Dutch Boy” holding back the water (by keeping the pipes together), and thoroughly soaked to the skin.

I had to pay 4X the going rate to get a plumber too.....

All's well now.

Someone get me a large Jack Daniels, no water, or no ice please .... Smiley

I took a bite of ….......

today. I've been watching it for a while now. Uranium/Copper/Gold/Silver.

VANE Minerals plc was founded by the former international exploration team of Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc., one of the worlds largest producers of copper and gold. The team negotiated exclusive access to Freeport McMoRan's global exploration database, made up of 7,000 plus files generated over nearly 100 years of exploration and, following the review of these files, VANE is ideally placed to capitalise on project acquisition opportunities.

TLR jumped back pretty quickly. I'm wondering if I was too hasty in cutting my losses there.

Excellent moves in my portfolio all around.........

Long may it continue.

A very Happy New Year to you all.

Don't you guy's have a cutoff valve to the main water line?   I can shut mine off at the meter, any breaks beyond that not my problem.

Sorry for your holiday surprise, looks like your utilities are taking this "tipping point" a little too seriously.

Just back from the fireworks display....  28 degrees F here in sin city to begin the new year.

"APPY" New Year to all!!!

SW,

I did not know it ever got that cold there where you live!

SS,

I saw that on TLR moving up.  Over in our other forum, Peter Spina has been mum on TLR.  Our questions have been was management somewhat incompetent on the permitting issues and the CAPEX increase.  I can understand the permitting delay but not the CAPEX increase.  Will let everyone know as soon as I hear something.  The CAPEX increase will seem minor, though, once the production gets going.

At any rate, the delay is only one quarter or so they say.  The jump back to $1.10 may just be speculative, don't know.

Outside water pipes?  Are they under the ground?  I know it has been a hard Winter there but....?

Good thing you made 600% on that one investment to cover the water pipes and then some!!!!!!  Wink

Hi YC
I didn't know about the "Beef" connection when I wrote the post.
We've had the coldest winter in over 100 years. The pipes are underground but -17oC not rising above -6 took it's toll.  Sad
