As far as technical trading goes, I don't think it matters what you trade, be it fainting goats in Tenn. or the /6E.  They all exibit some technical pattern it's just a matter of identifing the pattern, cycle, R/R factors and then use your plan and disipline to pick the bones.  Smiley

Well, things look like they are starting, failed retests coming on some big miners. I will call a last gasp of desperation of this mini up-leg on Pan Am Silver and Silver Standard for today, lots out there may want my neck in a noose for saying it, but I tell it as I see it on the charts. Paladin energy, Interesting, this run started with a low of 2.94, and a high of 5.88 with Financing, an EXACT Double. Think it was by chance of pure public trading?   Huh   Huh    Huh The fog is starting to clear up...Be careful out there, hope you all have your stops in place.
Good Luck and Good Trading...

Thanks for the update Depleted, I've been expecting a correction for the past month and am in agreement with your assessment.  I've noticed your timing on major market turns has been quite good over the past year or so.   It's always good reinforcement when I see your analysis lining up with mine.

I was doing some research for a magazine article I am writing and ran accross this historical DJIA chart.  I thought it would go well on the "thought provoking" thread.....

Economic pundits’ predictions have often been wrong, so I am inclined not to post them.    But, I am posting this pundit’s comments which are not his predictions; rather they are his observations on historical events.

Buy Oil, Not US Stocks: Marc Faber

Tuesday, 22 Feb 2011

Quote
"The US stock market has now doubled from its low. In other words, there are only three occasions in the last hundred years when the stock market in the US doubled within two years," he added.

One such occasion was in 1934, coming off a "very deeply oversold condition" in 1932 and the other one was in 1937. After 1937 and 1934, the 12 months return were both negative, Faber said.

I have had drinks with him on several occasions in Hong Kong although I knew nothing about who he was or what he did at the time.  All I knew was Marc and he was some kind of Dr.  LOL our topics were as far away from finance as you could possibly get.  (well, maybe not entirely LOL).

I think he moved to Thailand, I mean why not go directly to the factory.  O:  I won't talk out of school but he seemed like a cool guy having fun.

Hong Kong is small enough that it's possible to spot a minor celebrity from time to time.  Kinda cool when it happens.   Cool

Still, I could only stand living in pricey, high pressure, rabbit hut-like conditions for so long, before I just had to head back to my wide open space, no worries Canada.

Much thanks for noticing my milestone at BHSH!

Time to choose a winning outfit?  Hmmm?  In keeping with my lifestyle, I'm going to stick with wearing my sloppy casuals,
