Here I am creating another new thread because I went through the entire list of threads and did not find one dedicated to just general news on Uranium and Nuclear and for my purposes it is time to start watching developments and keep up with the trends as we approach 2012/13.

Reports on URRE and Denison.

By the way, these Bedford Reports are general but it does give you officer salaries and insider trading at a glance and I like that.  I am going to write them and find out how often these reports are updated.  See the two reports inside:

Thanks YC.  Here is some not so new news on Mega.  I hadn't heard of Tournigan.  It is an interesting company itself.  I was a little upset to see Mega purchasing shares of another company since they made a big deal about diluting their shares to get money to expand Maitland.

Toronto, Canada (January 6, 2011) – Mega Uranium Ltd. (MGA-TSX) (“Mega”)announces that on December 31, 2010, it acquired ownership of 10,000,000 common shares (“Common Shares”) and 5,000,000 common share purchase warrants (the “Warrants”) of Tournigan Energy Ltd  (“Tournigan”).   Each warrant entitles the holder thereof to acquire one additional common share at a price of $0.40 until December 30, 2012.

Not sure what is going on there...

But I did a little looking and Pinetree owns a big chuck of this as well:

Quote
Tournigan Energy Ltd. (TVC: TSXV)
Uranium
13,000,000 common shares
500,000 warrants expire Jul 14, 2012

Easy to look back at the max chart and see it dropped from a high over $4 to lower than 10 cents...

Now Mega is buying in big.

Seems like a game to me.  I read their news and while they have high grade deposits they are proceeding towards a prefeasibility study.

Maybe they are just trying to sucker people in so they can take down the price again or dilute it some more?

I have trouble trusting Sheldon these days!

you raise a valid point.

I held Tournigan since Dines recommended when it was called Tournigan Gold.  These things are likely all incestuous.  Like Fronteer reinventing itself as a gold company when gold started its upsurge.

This being a company with gold in its name did squat while anything with the name gold attached to it jumped.  Now with the renewed interest it seems they are suddenly re-emerging from the ashes as an "energy" company.

From .08 to the .40s since August with spiking and  increasing volume.  I don't take Dines crap any longer so not sure if there has been any hype from that blow-hard and you are right, I look very carefully at anything with Sheldon's name attached.  Think he and Dines are joined at the hip.

Tread lightly is an understatement IMHO.  FWIW I sold as soon as it hit .40.  Of course this likely means it is headed to $15 but I don't care.  Smiley

Well said.

When a company is just at the pre-feasibility study level any idea on how long the process is from there to production or sale to a producer?  Of course, Mega has producer capability.

Seems like they are a few years away from taking something out of the ground.

If anyone knows the time line, post it.

I just read an article that showed the 10 year process and every step along the way but can't find it now.  I think I read it on the seeking alpha site.  I share your concerns about Sheldon and Dines.  Mega is the only exposure I have to Sheldon and it does make me nervous a bit even though Lake Maitland should be a very profitable venture, Sheldon could still screw up the stock price.

It's probably just as easy to get the exposure to all those through Pinetree and I guess they have begun putting a lot of shit into Mega.

I tell ya, all those explorers on list 4 and 5 really deserve to be  closely scrutinized as to the financial relationship to all the stuff Sheldon touches and Dines pushes.  They may have simply figured a way to legally pump and dump.  How long you can run a game like that is yet unknown but it just smells to me and has cost me money fooling with them.

A Uranium spot price forecast:

Among the cherries that can easily be picked from a super-bullish Macquarie update are the expectation that copper will reach prices of US$5/lb in both 2011 and 2012 (year averages), crude oil prices will consistently trade above US$100 per barrel in 2012 and 2013 with projected annual price averages of US$113.50 and US$119 respectively and... that spot uranium will reach a new peak of US$75/lb in the first half of calendar 2011.

However, an analysis prepared for the department concluded that the average spot price for uranium could fall 4.9 to 8.9 percent during the period from the November 30, 2010 spot price of $60.25 per pound. The current spot price for uranium is near $70 a pound.

Well, there you have it.  If an analysis prepared for government says the price will drop then you can almost bet yer ass it will go up.  just saying

Drop of $7-8 USD, does anybody have input into where this might be heading?

Some of the U's have gone down, good time to buy for a quick gain before May sell adn go away?

But every year I've held uranium stocks: 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007, I've gotten killed in the summer.  From late April (or mid May) until mid summer.  Every year I think this year will be different.  And it never is.

Bought two cases of toilet paper, 50 # rice. Smoked two turkey breast, Sealed and froze 1 1/2 of said breastige, ate the other for lunch. It was very good.   Grin

Now, for the nuclear news..... Worries over the earthquake damage to nuke power facility in Japan MAY just give the anti-nuke crowd some more recruits and slow down any thoughts of nuke power for alternative fuels.  Matters NOT if there is no leaks or that the safety systems worked the FEAR is real and many will begin to take notice.  just saying.

Hi SW
Enjoy your turkey and rice.

It's a good idea to keep a good stock of toilet paper. If/when the dollar collapses toilet paper will be one of the things in  very short supply.

You could even see signs like this one in Zimbabwe.

Besides which.....

I pointed out earlier this week newspaper is toxic

Dirty Money

http://nutmegcollector.blogspot.com/2010/04/top-10-things-you-didnt-know-about.html

Quote
All money, it turns out, could stand to be laundered: the stuff is filthy. Studies show that a solid majority of U.S. bills are contaminated by cocaine. Drug traffickers often use coke-sullied hands to move cash, and many users roll bills into sniffing straws; the brushes and rollers in ATMs may distribute the nose candy through the rest of the money supply.
(See the top 10 athlete drug busts.)

Also found on bills: faecal matter. A 2002 report in the Southern Medical Journal showed found pathogens — including staphylococcus — on 94% of dollar bills tested. Paper money can reportedly carry more germs than a household toilet. And bills are a hospitable environment for gross microbes: viruses and bacteria can live on most surfaces for about 48 hours, but paper money can reportedly transport a live flu virus for up to 17 days. It's enough to make you switch to credit.

Unlike Silver

Before the advent of modern germicides and antibiotics, it was known that disease-causing pathogens could not survive in the presence of silver.

We enjoyed lunch our lunch too. When we finished we were invited to choose a “fortune cookie.”

When I opened the package and broke it open to read the message inside this is what mine read.....

I hope so.

I wish you would quit posting what you eat and drink.  All you do is make me hungry and thirsty!!   Cheesy

Looks like a very good restaurant with high degree of authenticity in their preparation.  We have one here in Saint Louis like that.
