UTREF

What are you guys that own Mega U doing with your UTREF stocks?  I noticed it closed at 1.03.  When I did a little research they put out a press release that they found some rare earths on one of their holdings.  I am reminded of the saying, "a mine is a hole in the ground with a liar on top".  I am going to sell all my remaining UTREF on Monday I think.  I had been holding out for 1 dollar anyway.

Yeah, I've still got to figure out how to calc the cost basis on it in USD.

Though that's probably in CAD not USD.  Hopefully I'll get something from my broker that will straighten me out on this before April.  I've never dealt with a "dividend-in-kind" before, though from what I understand treating these shares as dividends rather than spin-offs should at least save us all the bother of having to re-calc the cost basis of the Mega shares.

I got my remaining UTREF sold the other day before it went back below a dollar.  You raise a good point about taxes.  Now I have to figure out how to do that as well.

UTREF is now up to 1.21.  Amazing, all I can tell they did was announce they found rare earths.  Maybe Mega can put out a press release that they found rare earths as well.
